OOPS! We said it, Give.
Here at Joburg Church we’re not ashamed to speak this four letter word. Christian giving is an act of worship. God’s people should never be embarrassed to give, nor is it shameful to encourage people to depend on God for what they need on a daily basis as they give. We believe generosity is a privilege and a great responsibility. After all, we have received the greatest gift of all… eternal life. Matthew 6:1-4, 1 Corinthians 16:1-2, 2 Corinthians 9:6-7.
Live Generously
God doesn’t want your money… and neither do we. It’s your heart that He’s after. The problem is as people we tie these both so tightly together. Living Generously is more than throwing money in the offering plate. It is the giving of yourself and resources to change someone else’s life as well as your own. 1 Peter 4:10
GIVING TREE FOOD PANTRY
We at Johannesburg Christian Church are a generous people. The Lord desires His people to be just and open handed with those in need; whether they are hungry, naked, or in need of shelter. We are not to neglect each other. This act of sharing through the Giving Tree Food Pantry reminds us that everything belongs to God.
